Once built for war, this former military base in the heart of Denmark has been transformed into a thriving sanctuary for growth, learning, and connection with nature. Today, it is an eco-community where sustainability and wellbeing are at the center of everyday life.
Currently, 20 pioneers live in the community, but the space has room for 70. This isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place to thrive. Residents live collectively, share responsibilities, and cultivate a sense of belonging that goes beyond ordinary co-living.
Life here is built around holistic well-being. Residents enjoy:
A permaculture garden – grow fresh, sustainable food while learning regenerative practices.
An art room – a creative space to explore self-expression.
A peaceful library – perfect for reflection, study, or quiet moments.
A gym – support your physical health in a community setting.
A sewing studio – craft, repair, and create together.
A children’s playroom – nurturing the youngest members of the community.
A giant kitchen – where communal meals bring people together daily.
Every space is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and a deeper connection to both nature and each other.
Education isn’t confined to classrooms. Here, learning happens everywhere:
Eco-living practices – from permaculture to sustainable building and energy use.
Self-care and wellness – yoga, mindfulness, and holistic health workshops.
Group learning and reflection – discussions, creative projects, and skill-sharing sessions.
Residents grow not only individually but as a community, supporting each other in discovering new ways of living consciously and purposefully.
